Lisa BoydCo-Owner and Innkeeper
Lisa Boyd serves as the property manager and oversees the day-to-day operations, including customer service, reservations/sales, rate management and events handling. She also manages all staff, financials and housekeeping.
Before Stone Porch, Boyd spent eight years as an innkeeper at Archer’s Inn and the Greystone Inn, located in North Carolina. Prior to hospitality, Lisa was an administrative assistant for the owner of a Domino’s Pizza franchise and was employed at Business Adventures, where she assisted buyers purchasing businesses.
At age 21, Boyd became a single mother and opened up a home day care to stay at home with her daughter and provide for other children.
Boyd started her career in high school at Dillard’s department store, where she worked her way up from a sales associate to the manager, overseeing 10 employees.
Sharon MinickCo-Owner and Innkeeper
Sharon Minick is the co-owner and innkeeper of Stone Porch. Serving as the property manager she oversees the day-to-day operations, including customer service, reservations/sales, rate management and events handling. She also manages all staff, financials and housekeeping.
Minick always had a dream of owning and managing a bed and breakfast. After years of boarding college students in a college town and working at large bed and breakfasts, she invested in Stone Porch.
Prior to Stone Porch Minick was with Shefte Company, a Domino’s Pizza business, where she worked as an executive assistant helping to manage the business for fifteen years. She helped the franchise owner with operations, customer service, quality control, marketing, employee training and building a loyal customer base. She also helped manage his personal and other business ventures.
Sharon attended the University of North Carolina. She is the mother of two children, Thomas and Allison. Minick is originally from Pennsylvania but relocated to North Carolina before moving to Chicago.
